A stained glass heart, built from twelve pieces of color.

In the Bible, the High Priest wore a breastplate over his heart, set with twelve gemstones, one for each tribe of Israel. Not one was left out. This pendant carries that idea into stained glass.

Each of the twelve stones is given a musical note, and each note is drawn as a sound pattern, the kind of geometry that appears when sand settles on a vibrating plate. Layered together, the twelve patterns become a window of jewel tones, every piece of color held in place by fine bronze lines, with a ruby-red heart at the center. It is a symbolic, artistic design, not a scientific one.

Like a stained glass window, the beauty is in how the pieces are joined. Many different pieces, one heart.
